As a Registered Psychologist and Mental Performance Consultant, Lisa is able to work with individuals on a variety of topics spanning mental health, mental wellness, and mental performance.
Lisa emphasizes a client-centered approach while utilizing a variety of therapy approaches when working with clients. Techniques from cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, solution focused therapy, and positive psychology are integrated depending on the client's needs. Lisa can work with clients experiencing difficulties with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and life transitions.
Lisa works with athletes, teams, coaches, and other high performers to enhance the patterns that contribute to success. Lisa has worked with athletes from a developmental to an international (Olympic and Paralympic) level. Lisa emphasizes finding strategies and building skills that will help the performer to achieve their best in their performance domain. Areas discussed can include focus and distraction control, developing resilience and coping strategies, thinking patterns, goal setting, and visualization, among others.
